Located so that it would be clearly visible from the open-plan living spaces of the house, the pool and landscape design combines a family-orientated pool and surrounding landscape to harmonise with and complement the existing residence.

The pool is fully tiled in blue Bisazza glass tiles, which provide a striking light blue water colour, heightened at night by the use of LED pool lights.

Top of the range pool equipment makes the pool relatively maintenance-free. The pool filtration equipment is located discretely at the rear of the pool, behind a feature rendered wall built up of the pool - screened at the sides by Merbau timber slat screens and a gate - that extends out into the central path towards the Bisazza ‘Stella Alpina’ glass tiled bench seat, uniting the two features to make one focal point from the house. Three narrow chutes have been built into the raised pool wall with water cascading down the Bisazza ‘Stella Alpina’ shading blend glass tiled face with the glass tiled bands continuing down the pool wall and along the surface of the pool floor of different lengths.

A broad underwater bench extends along the front of the deck where children can splash and play at close range. The pool demonstrates the best of both worlds as it consists of a family swimming space, which then connects with a lap pool for those who take their swimming a little more seriously.

The raised timber sun deck is the perfect place to relax while keeping an eye on the children, with a feature umbrella to shade guests on the deck from the suns harsh rays. The main house deck itself spans the width of the rear of the property, creating a seamless transition between the existing house and the new elevated pool and landscaping.

The surrounding garden beds contain lush plantings to complement the landscape and screen the rear boundary and help highlight the overall project. The side of the house has selected Granite ‘Tasman Grey’ paving bands laid in strips of random lengths that lead into the river pebble surface beside the raised rendered planter that leads to the garage and exposed aggregate house amenities area.
