This classic rectangular pool and spa combination was designed to take into account the limitations on space of the area. The pool dimensions being 12m x 3m, with both ends of the pool having a half round semi-circle type shape, one containing the steps for access, while the other a swimout/wading area. A bench to one side of the pool allows for a social space to sit and relax.

The large spa situated centrally to the pool although integrated with the pool, is elevated above the pool, with a sawn bluestone spillway allowing the water to flow casually from the spa into the pool, providing a feature in itself, also it enables an encompassing view of the garden and house while relaxing in the inviting water.

The symmetry of the design is heightened by the clean lines of the paving which in turn is softened by the planting of English box and Wisteria. The limited palette of materials, plant material and colours along with the specially sized and custom made lattice backdrop visually expands and unifies the area, creating a sense of space.

The feature of this pool is the elevated spa and sheer descent water feature combined with the ‘Mintaro Slate’ bookleaf style stone clad feature wall, creating a visual treat to accompany the aural delight of the splashing waterfall. The natural Sawn Bluestone pool coping was templated and cut to the pool shape complementing and coinciding with the surrounding bluestone paving. Stainless steel kimmer box and infloor cleaning deck canister lids complement the colour and prestige of the sawn bluestone paving material.

Thoughtful lighting illuminates the entire project, bringing an added element to the property and landscape, allowing full use of the area both day and night.
